In the past week the Troop have been involved in two major events. The first being the receiving of the Normandy Veterans standard at Millbrook ARC, where we have become the custodians of their standard to use on parade whilst performing public duties in and around Southampton. Not only did we represent 3 Troop, 7 Troop and Y company but the ACF as a whole to the veterans of Normandy and there families that attended the parade.
A great turnout from both 3 and 7 Troop, and a massive well done to Sgt Elson providing the guard for the banner and Bdr Seagrave for receiving and trooping the colour.

This week also saw us take part at the Saint Georges day event hosted by City College Southampton where Cadets Seagrave C, Seagrave G, Woods, Gibbs, Yarnall and L/Bdr Andrews, Bdr Seagrave and Sgt Elson help greet guests, man the refreshments stand and network with guests to gain future relationships.
Guests included Cllr Sue Blatchford, The Mayor of Southampton, Mr John Denham MP, Southampton Itchen, Lawrie McMenemy, former Southampton FC Manger, Ms Rowenna Davies, Southampton Itchen candidate, Sarah Stannard, Principal City College Southampton.
The event went well and feedback is very positive and hopefully the College will be back in touch soon with any future events that they could use us for.
